Tell us a little about yourself:

We are two girls that have a love for everything…from fashion to beauty products to home decor and so much more.  We have been friends for almost 9 years and could not imagine blogging with anyone else.  We love spending time with our husbands and furbabies, friends, family and of course blogging and making videos for YouTube.

When did you start your blog?

We are coming up on our 2 year blogiversary.  We launched our blog and YouTube channel on March 28, 2011.  It’s been such an awesome experience and we love every minute of it.  We can’t believe that it’s almost been 2 years.  Time flies when you’re having fun!

Why did you decide to start blogging?

We work together at our 9-5 job, but both of us really felt like we needed and wanted an “outlet” – a place to put our creative energy.  We were craving a little more balance in our lives and we believe that our blog provides us with just that…along with ALOT of fun too!

Where are your favorite places to shop in RVA?

For fashion:  Nordstrom, Target, H&M, Forever 21, Old Navy, Macy’s, DSW, The Loft.  For beauty:  Sephora, Ulta, MAC, Clarins and even drugstores like CVS, RiteAid and Walgreens.

Top 3 favorite blogs to read?

We read so many blogs on a daily basis that there is no way to narrow it down to just 3 favorite blogs.  There are just too many fabulous blogs out there!  And because we are also YouTubers, we watch lots of YouTube videos as well.  One of our favorite YouTubers is MakeupByTiffanyD.  She really inspired us to start making videos and even to start blogging.  And we will say that we’ve made so many great friends through blogging and YouTube.  It’s such a great community!

How would you describe your personal style?

Jayme – I am kind of all over the place.  Sometimes I’m all about hoodies, sneakers and jeans and the next minute I’m following the latest trend.  I can be trendy, edgy, preppy…it all depends on my mood.

Mendi – I lean more towards classic and preppy, but I’m definitely not afraid to play with trends.  I love to use accessories to mix things up a bit.  One of my favorite things about fashion is that there’s no right or wrong.  You can be one person today, but another tomorrow.  It’s all about variety.

Who is your style inspiration?

Other bloggers of course!! But as far as celebrities go, a few we love are Lauren Conrad, Rachel Zoe, Nina Dobrev, Rachel Bilson, Olivia Palermo and Kerry Washington. The list could go on and on!

If you could give any advice to other bloggers what would it be?

If you want to start a blog, just go for it!  Join social media sites and start talking.  Network, network, network!!  Leave genuine comments on the blogs that you like.  Let your voice show through on your blog and blog for yourself first.  Remain consistent and connect with your followers.  We made a video on our 1 year anniversary with some blogging/YouTube tips that we think is helpful…you a can check it out here: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChpWQ1Z6zKk)
